Lamorne Morris says everyone on “New Girl” breaks character while filming Fox’s hit sitcom. But the Chicago native who plays even-keeled Winston cracks up the most.
“Whenever Jake and Max have a conversation, I don’t want to be in that scene. I’m ruining the take because it is so hysterical…,” Morris said of his co-stars, Max Greenfield and Chicago native Jake Johnson, who with Morris play the three male roommates to Zooey Deschanel’s quirky Jess.
Morris said that the cast does get serious, and that’s when he has to straighten up. “After Hour 14 [of filming], they’re like, ‘Dude, pull it together.'”
Morris, in town for Thanksgiving with his family, stopped by RedEye Monday to talk about the show, its hilarious Thanksgiving episode, his holiday memories and to tell all the ladies out there that he can cook.
