As much as Hebru Brantley and Max Sansing loved watching and playing baseball growing up, their career paths didn't take them to the majors.
"I played [all the positions] terribly," Brantley said, laughing. "I was not put here to play baseball."
Yet the two Chicago artists and longtime friends have made their mark on the baseball landscape in their own way. The South Side natives recently were commissioned by Red Bull to paint a mural of Cubs star Kris Bryant. They started and completed the 50-foot-by-60-foot painting last week at HVAC Pub in Lakeview, a block south of Wrigley Field.
