As is the case every year, there are many really good fantasy players who are having up-and-down years. But there are three who are starting to surge this season and could help you make the playoffs.

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh QB

Roethlisberger is playing great football. After a sluggish start, his Steelers are on fire. Roethlisberger is clicking with Antonio Brown and Jerricho Cotchery. The stats over the past four weeks are impressive: more than 310 yards passing per game, nine touchdowns and only three interceptions. The schedule over the next three weeks looks good; Cleveland, Baltimore and Miami. If you have Big Ben and are not playing him, readjust your thinking now.

Carson Palmer, Arizona QB

Believe it or not I am writing something positive about Palmer. He has been out of sorts the past couple of years, but I see a ray of hope for this veteran signal caller. Palmer has helped the Cardinals to a 6-4 record and is looking good in the process. He is averaging over 270 yards in the air over the past four weeks and has thrown for seven scores. The completion percentage (68) is impressive too. Palmer's schedule looks very favorable over the next four weeks: Indianapolis, Philadelphia, St. Louis and Tennessee. Palmer is a sleeper who I think will stay awake the rest of the way.

Victor Cruz, N.Y. Giants WR

The New York Football Giants are alive in the NFC East. They are 4-6 and surging toward the top of the division. Eli Manning is playing well and Cruz is coming alive. Cruz, one of the NFL's most talented receivers, has been relatively quiet until last week, when he broke 100 yards receiving for the first time since Week 4. Schedule-wise, it looks great for Cruz, with Seattle being the toughest task. Cruz is without question a must-play going forward.
