Inside former Bear James Williams' $1.75M house
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to pass protect for legendary former Bears quarterbacks like Cade McNown, Jim Miller or Shane Matthews? Now is your chance to experience a day in the life of a Bears offensive tackle, one who was actually a very good tackle. The beloved James "Big Cat" Williams has placed his Lake Forest home on the market for $1.75 million. The house actually reminds me a bit of the famous "Sopranos" home, with its openness, bevy of windows and lighter, neutral color scheme. Its layout is a bit unusual, with soft contours instead of corners in a lot of places and a bunch of nooks created by the angling of its construction. The kitchen is modernly outfitted, and, like any good athlete's home, also boasts a gaming room with a home theater in the lower level. Come occupy one of the 7 bedrooms/8 bathrooms, and feel like you were the one that protected Jim Miller during the Bears' magical 13-3 run during the 2001 season. Ah, memories.
