Fantasy Fix: They're baaaack … and here to help

The funny thing about fantasy football is what goes around comes around. Michael Vick, Antonio Gates and Reggie Bush are all great fantasy players who are bouncing back in a big way. All three are benefiting from either a new coach or new home.

Michael Vick, Philadelphia QB

After the first two weeks, Vick is your fantasy MVP. He's on fire, averaging over 300 yards in the air, four touchdowns, two rushing scores and 77 yards rushing. Vick has been a huge beneficiary from Chip Kelly's fast-paced offense. Expect Vick to keep rolling. His upcoming schedule is tough: Kansas City, Denver, N.Y. Giants and Denver over the next four weeks. However, Vick is in the NFC East where most of the defenses are awful. If he can stay healthy, he will continue to put up big fantasy numbers.

Antonio Gates, San Diego TE

The Philip Rivers/Antonio Gates football marriage has been dysfunctional the past couple of years. Whether it was Gates being hurt or Rivers under- or overthrowing his big tight end, these two have not been on the same page. But this year it's better than ever. I believe new coach Mike McCoy has helped these two become reacquainted. Gates is catching everything thrown his way, with 10 catches for 173 yards in two games. Another reason for optimism if you have Gates on your team, he has been targeted 14 times in two weeks. The fantasy future for Gates is bright, as the Charges face Tennessee, Dallas, Oakland and Indianapolis in the upcoming weeks.

Reggie Bush, Detroit RB

It is painfully obvious Detroit needs another offensive weapon besides Calvin Johnson. It looks like Bush is the answer. After two weeks he's starting to resemble Matt Forte or even Ray Rice. Bush is averaging a shade under 60 yards on the ground and more than 70 yards receiving. He did tweak his knee against Arizona but should be ready to play this week. Bush is great fantasy find, as quarterback Matthew Stafford now seems to use him as a go-to guy.

Along Chicago's lakefront at Fullerton Avenue Beach, cranes rolled along a causeway that only a few months ago was part of the lake itself. Doughnut panic

I'm not ashamed to admit that for the past several years, I have mapped my walk to work around which doughnut shop I'd like an excuse to stop at on the way.
