Need help spending that cash, Corey?

Corey Crawford worked his nuts off, and now he's getting paid.

The goaltender agreed to a six-year contract extension with the Blackhawks on Monday, the same day the 28-year-old had the Cup in his hometown of Montreal to celebrate backstopping the Hawks to their second championship in four years.

"Being able to get a chance to bring the Cup back home [with] all the people I played minor hockey with and grew up with and all my family was pretty special to start off—to add this on top of it is amazing," said Crawford, whose deal is worth a reported $36 million and runs through 2019-20. "I want to be in Chicago for my whole career and this is amazing to be able to do this and get this deal done."

Now that Crawford's a much richer man, RedEye has suggestions on how he should spend his cash:

DISPLAY CASE

He's already got a Stanley Cup ring and a Jennings Trophy for the best goaltending performance in 2013 (which he shared with Ray Emery). Not to mention that sweet belt Kaner gave him at the championship rally. He might have a gold medal by February and a few more Cup rings before his career ends. Gotta put it all somewhere.

EMERGENCY F-WORD FUND

Crawford's speech at the Cup rally in Grant Park was legendary—"[bleepin' right, Chicago!]. If the Hawks win more titles, as we're sure is the plan, there might be FCC fines coming. It would be a nice gesture if he helped help TV stations defray the costs of any potential fallout.

HONEYMOON

In May, Crawford got engaged to his girlfriend, Sylvie Cormier. Time to up the ante on the post-wedding trip. In fact, why stop at one honeymoon when two or three are possible? Trust us, Corey, your bride-to-be will be pleasantly surprised.

BENCH CUSHION

No, not for himself. It would be for Crawford's backup, the recently acquired Nikolai Khabibulin. Figure the "Bulin Wall" is going to spend a lot of time riding the pine if Crawford's anywhere near as good as he was in 2013.

RUSSIAN DICTIONARY

Crawford was invited to Team Canada's orientation camp for the 2014 Olympics, which will be held in Sochi, Russia. You want a goaltender who's sure of himself, and a confident goaltender assumes he's going to need to speak Russian, if only for two weeks.
