Chicago's love affair with the U.S. champion Jackie Robinson West All-Stars Little League team will continue Wednesday with a welcome home rally and parade that will start on the Far South Side and wind north to Millennium Park.

The rally will kick off at 9 a.m. Jackie Robinson Park, 10540 S. Morgan St. The parade will begin at 10 a.m., traveling from there to Millennium Park. A second rally, at Millennium Park, will begin around 11 a.m., according to the mayor's office.

The Jackie Robinson West All Stars team includes 11- and 12-year-olds from South and Southwest side Chicago neighborhoods. The team won the U.S. championship on Saturday but lost the world championship game Sunday 8-4 to a team from South Korea.

Here's the parade route:
 
*Northbound on Aberdeen to 105th
*East on 105th to Halsted
*Northbound on Halsted from 105th to 35th Street
*Eastbound on 35th Street to Indiana
*Northbound on Indiana to 31st Street
*Merge onto northbound Michigan Ave.
*Northbound on Michigan Ave to Randolph

The city is encouraging fans to gather along five intersections along Halsted Street or at U.S. Cellular Field:
 
*103rd and Halsted
*95th and Halsted
*87th and Halsted
*79th and Halsted
*63rd and Halsted
*U.S. Cellular Field

In addition, the regular Wednesday night fireworks at Navy Pier also will be dedicated to the team.
