Nazr Mohammed is coming home. As expected, the Chicago native and Kenwood Academy alum has signed with the Bulls, his eighth NBA team.
The 14-year vet will take the place of Omer Asik, who signed with Houston. Mohammed is 6-foot-10 and 250 pounds and last year averaged 11 minutes for Oklahoma City, scoring 2.7 points and grabbing 2.7 rebounds.
"Were excited to add Nazr to the Chicago Bulls," GM Gar Forman said. "He's a veteran who will add experience and depth to our team."
Originally selected by Utah in the first round (29th overall) of the 1998 NBA Draft, Mohammed joins guard Kirk Hinrich, swingman Marco Belinelli and forward Vladimir Radmanovic as Bulls’ acquisitions. Plus there’s guard Marquis Teague, the team’s first-round draft pick.
