Fantasy football: Week 11 pickups
It was not a good week to be a quarterback, as no less than four play-callers went down with injuries and are highly questionable this week. This is why you make sure you have a competent backup QB in place, more so than any other backup, as you never know what's going to happen with your most valued player. Looking for some QB help? It's not pretty, but we'll see what we can do. -- Matthew Wood

Sam Bradford, QB, Rams
There will be a temptation to pick up one of the numerous backup quarterbacks who look to get starts this week. I'd advise against that. You got San Fran¿s Colin Kaepernick and Bears backup Jason Campbell going against each other on Monday night, but more importantly going against a pair of stout defenses. You got Nick Foles, who looks to take over in Philly for a while after Mike Vick's concussion -- but Foles was not so good in relief. Who else you got? Chad Henne? No thanks. I'm going with Bradford, who has a 2-to-1 TD/Int ratio over the past month and had a really good game vs. the Niners on Sunday. Stay away from the unknowns this week. They're backups for a reason.
Last week: 275 pass yards, 2 TD, 0 Interceptions This week: vs. Jets |
