Electronic Arts is discontinuing its relationship with world's No. 1 golf player Tiger Woods after more than 15 years, Sports Business Journal reported Monday.
The company had announced in April that the 2015 edition of the “Tiger Woods PGA Tour” game would be canceled because it needed more time to work on a new version of the game for the new Playstation and XBox consoles that are set to be released later this year, according to Sports Business Journal. Now EA Sports said that it is working on a next-generation golf title without him.
In other news, Woods said he is still considering legal action over a column written by Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee in which Chamblee accused Woods of cheating.
“All I am going to say is that I know I am going forward,” Woods said. “But then, I don't know what the Golf Channel is going to do or not. But then that's up to them.”
