Chicago police are expected Thursday to issue a community alert following the strangulation of three women whose bodies were found in North Side alleys in a little over a month’s time.

Although police said there was no physical evidence linking the slayings to a single suspect, there are some similarities in the deaths.

Police spokesman Robert Cargie said that all three women had been strangled, their bodies were left in alleys in the North Side and all had “dangerous lifestyles.”

The latest victim, an unidentified black woman who was 25 to 35 years old, was discovered Sunday in a trash can in an alley the 1100 block of North LaSalle.

Belmont Area detectives were checking witness reports about a man and woman arguing and then a woman screaming in the area the night before.

The body of Ola Mae Wallace, 39, was found June 25 in an alley in the 5200 block of North Broadway.

The body of Diane Jordan was found July 10 in an alley in the 1400 block of North Mohawk Street.
