The not Mr. Show show

When it works, it works. According to Variety, Netflix has ordered four episodes and one hourlong “making-of” special from Bob Odenkirk and David Cross, a.k.a. the comedic minds behind ’90s cult series “Mr. Show.” The new venture, “With Bob and David,” will take Naperville native Odenkirk back to his sketch comedy roots after his recent dramatic work in “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul.” No word on a premiere date, but we’ll definitely be saving a spot in our queue.

We get it with the live-action

Welp, looks like the folks over at Disney are officially out of ideas. Right on the glass slipper heels of “Cinderella” and amid casting news of an unanimated “Beauty and the Beast,” the studio apparently also is developing a live-action “Winnie the Pooh.” Yes, seriously. The film, Variety reports, will focus on an adult version of the book’s Christopher Robin character and “Listen Up Philip” writer-director Alex Ross Perry has been brought on to handle the adaptation. OK, but the live-action Pooh Bear *will* be wearing pants, right?

The digit: $1

That’s how much Neutrogena Naturals will donate to The Nature Conservancy for every person that pledges to join spokesperson Kristen Bell in cleaning their face without using water, Allure reports. The brand is promoting its biodegradable makeup removing wipes, but the campaign also happens to coincide with California’s recently-announced state-mandated restrictions on water use to help deal with the state’s current drought. We’re all for conserving, but Kristen, maybe still wash your face.

The quote

“Hello, everybody. This is not Frank Underwood. This is Barack Obama. Happy April Fools’ Day. Frank learned it from me.” —President Obama, channeling his best “House of Cards” intensity—which, let’s be honest, isn’t great—for a YouTube video posted on Wednesday, eonline.com reports.

Tanner teaser?

In what we’re hoping isn’t a rumor, Variety reports Netflix is also “close to ordering” an additional season of “Full House.” The ’90s sitcom has been a favorite in the ” they’re totally doing a reunion show” Twitterverse for years, so we’re taking this report with a grain of salt, though the fact that the project supposedly has a name—”Fuller House”—has got us feeling optimistic. Chances are the Olsen twins will have nothing to do with this, but we’ll settle for Kimmy Gibbler.
