After the shocking developments in last week’s episode of “Vikings,” I thought it might be fun to highlight a lighter for fans this week. May I present this week’s Shirtless TV Men of the Week: Alexander Ludwig and Clive Standen?

In “Boneless,” airing at 9 p.m. April 17 on History, Bjorn (Ludwig) gets some fight training from his uncle Rollo (Standen), and it’s something to behold.

Ludwig told me earlier this season that he loved shooting the scene, despite the conditions in Ireland.

“It was so fun. I mean that was one of the coldest days of shooting I have ever had done. We were shirtless in Ireland in the freezing cold and we had to do these scenes where he hits my legs out and I fall in water. And he’s training me and I had to like fall on rocks and I would like come up cut and bleeding,” he said. “Those war wounds are what make it real. So you had to go along with that.”

Also in the episode, Ragnar (Travis Fimmel), King Horik (Donal Logue) and Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) set sail for Wessex. As you can see in the first clip below, Ragnar and Horik disagree on how to proceed against the King Ecbert (Linus Roache) once they get there.

Meanwhile, King Ecbert invites Princess Kwenthrith (Amy Bailey) from a neighboring land to Wessex to talk alliances. Finally, Princess Aslaug’s latest prophecy comes true.

How was it mixing things up with Clive, who plays Rollo? He’s a pretty big dude.
