When you’re riding in an Uber, it’s lucky enough when the driver has Spotify connected or passes you the AUX cord. But when your Uber driver takes you to a private, free concert of one of Lollapalooza’s most buzzed-about acts, that’s something else entirely.

Thursday, the mega-popular ridesharing service is partnering with Norwegian DJ Kygo (who headlines the Pepsi stage Sunday night) for an exclusive show. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., Uber users can request a car through a new “KYGO” option in their apps. If connected, they will get a free ride to the show that takes place at a “secret Chicago location.” Better yet, this complimentary trip also will serve as the ticket to the event. Hooray for free stuff!

As an added bonus, the performance, which is slated to be near an hour-long set, will feature the world premiere of Kygo’s new single. Fans in attendance, along with people who follow Uber on Periscope, will be the first to hear the song before it goes on sale and on streaming platforms tomorrow.

While that’s a lot of good news, there’s also some fine print. You’ll be denied entry if you’re under 21, and since demand will be so high, you can’t have more than four people in an Uber car. Also, admittance will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, so the ride doesn’t automatically guarantee entry to the event. That said, those lucky enough to make it will have an unforgettable warm-up to Lolla weekend.

Before you impulsively and incessantly check your Uber apps this evening, be sure to revisit KYGO’s recent smash hit “Firestone,” featuring Conrad Sewell.
