This week brings the series premieres of “Ground Floor,” “Alpha House” and “Almost Human” and the series finale of “Eastbound & Down.” Also on the schedule are the return of “Parks and Recreation” after a short hiatus, the Season 4 premiere of “Raising Hope” and the U.S. premieres of two very different British thrillers, “Secret State” and “Black Mirror.”

Here are more highlights of what’s on TV for the week of Nov. 11-17. Click here for a look at premieres, finales, movies and specials airing in November.

Hodgins mothers a fly larva, which is only a subplot in this episode, but I couldn’t stop laughing at the thought.

Tuesday, Nov. 12

Press release says of “Heaven Can’t Wait:” “Castiel (Misha Collins) gets a job at a Gas-N-Sip and actually starts to enjoy life as a human.” Not quite sure those two can go together.

The Goldbergs
8 p.m. Tuesday, ABC
The Goldbergs meet their seemingly perfect new neighbors, the Kremps. Perfect until they don’t respons to Beverly’s invitation. Tom Cavanaugh guest stars as Ed.

Secret State
8 p.m. Tuesday, DirecTV Audience
In the aftermath of a deadly industrial disaster involving a U.S. petrochemical firm, deputy prime minister Tom Dawkins (Gabriel Bryne) fights the powers that be, including members of his own government, in this four-part, intrigue-filled political thriller from Great Britain.

Black Mirror
9 p.m. Tuesday, DirecTV Audience
Another British import, “Black Mirror” takes a disturbing look at our relationship with technology in six hour-long, standalone episodes that harken back to the strangest reality-based episodes of “The Twilight Zone.”

Chicago Fire
9 p.m. Tuesday, NBC
Severide’s jog turns into a battle to save the life of a boy trapped in a backhoe loader at an abandoned construction site.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

JFK: One PM Central Standard Time

“Secrets of the Dead” opens a new season with this minute-by-minute look at how journalists covered the shooting of John F. Kennedy 50 years ago. Narrated by George Clooney.

The sixth season resumes with two episodes and the recall election of Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler).

The Vampire Diaries
7 p.m. Thursday, CW
Now starring as three characters, Nina Dobrev demands separate salaries for all three roles. Just kidding, but she is playing Elena, Amara and Katherine.

Braxton Family Values
8 p.m. Thursday, WEtv
As the season resumes, Traci confronts her hubby about his possible cheating and her sisters about the part they played in making the rumors public.

Ground Floor
9 p.m. Thursday, TBS
The new sitcom from “Cougartown” and “Scrubs” creator Bill Lawrence follows a up-and-coming banker (Skylar Astin) who falls for a one-night stand (Briga Heelan) who works in the bank’s maintenance department. Uncomfortable, which is how I feel saying that this doesn’t live up to Lawrence’s much funnier other shows. A second episode follows at 9:30 p.m.

Scandal
9 p.m. Thursday, ABC
We learn how Fitz, Mellie and Cyrus became a team in “Everything’s Coming Up Mellie.” But this being “Scandal,” a mere flashback just won’t do. We also get Mellie plotting her comeback, Cyrus plotting against Sally Langston and Huck plotting to keep annoying Quinn at arm’s length.

Friday, Nov. 15

Bones
7 p.m. Friday, Fox
“Bones” moves to a new day and time with “The Fury in the Jury,” in which Brennan serves as a juror in the trial of professional soccer player Peter Kidman (guest star Brandon Quinn), who is accused of murdering his wife.

Styled to Rock

The contestants have to style publicity loving Miley Cyrus for “Miley’s Sexy Night Out.” Let me guess: see-through top, barely there shorts and a giant foam finger?

Raising Hope
8 p.m. Friday, Fox
Burt, Virginia and Jimmy learn that the mysterious man (guest star Jeffrey Tambor) they keep seeing is, first of all, real. Secondly, he may have something to do with a secret Maw Maw’s been keeping. The Season 4 premiere is followed at 8:30 p.m. by the new episode “Burt Bucks.”

Hawaii Five-0

The Jo Bros’ split doesn’t mean we can’t see them separately. Nick Jonas guest stars as a computer hacker the governor tasks Five-0 to find.

Almost Human
7 p.m. Sunday, Fox
A human cop with mechanical parts (Karl Urban) and an emotional android (Michael Ealy) partner up in this teach-savvy cross between a buddy cop drama and a sci-fi thriller. I called it a brobomance, but the more common robromance sounds better. Watch an extended 8-minute trailer with my full review here.
