Jan. 22, 2015 — Trevor Noah appears again for a report on Boko Haram and terrorism.

Feb. 10, 2015 — Jon Stewart announces he will be leaving “The Daily Show” after 16 years as the show’s host.

March 19, 2015 Trevor Noah appears on “The Daily Show” playing chess with Jon Stewart.

March 30, 2015 — Comedy Central announces that Trevor Noah will be the next host of “The Daily Show.”

March 31, 2015 (early morning) — Trevor Noah faces backlash over previous tweets (labeled anti-Semitic and sexist) from past years, some going back to 2011.

March 31, 2015 (4:36 p.m.) — Trevor Noah tweets, “To reduce my views to a handful of jokes that didn’t land is not a true reflection of my character, nor my evolution as a comedian.”
