Meet RedEye Rock ‘n’ Vote finalist The Future Laureates.

Neighborhoods: Lincoln Square, Edgewater, Ukrainian Village

Experience: Seven years. The band’s core members met at Loyola University Chicago.

Sound: “A mix of folk, rock and pop with a little bit of soul,” says singer-guitarist Danny Surico, 29.

Live show: “We play as a five-piece. We like to stay fun and aggressive, with a lot of audience engagement.

Influences: Guster, The Beatles, Walk The Moon, Sam Cooke, The Strokes

Upcoming performances: June 5 at Metro, July 9 at Taste of Chicago

Fun fact: The band’s van has “Rodent Control” written on its side.

Big accomplishments: “Sinners And Saints” was a finalist in the 2014 International Songwriting Competition.
