If you’re anywhere near Grant Park this week, don’t be fooled by the throngs of people decked out in running gear. No, they’re not there to rub their fitness in your face, they’re part of filming for an upcoming episode of NBC’s “Chicago Med.”

According to a filming notice, the show will be filming on Monday and Tuesday, with lane closures on and off starting 4 a.m. Monday morning through 9 p.m. Tuesday night. Two eastbound lanes of Congress Parkway between Congress Plaza and Columbus Drive will be closed until 8 p.m. Monday night and between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Eastbound Balbo Avenue will be closed from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, with “intermittent traffic control” taking place on Wabash Avenue from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Balbo Avenue from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Parking downtown is prepped to be more heinous than usual, with “no parking” zones established to make room for “the necessary vehicles” needed for production.

The new season of “Med” premieres Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. on NBC. The season premiere of “Chicago P.D.” airs Wednesday, Sept. 21 and “Chicago Fire”—the first in the “Chicago” franchise created by Dick Wolf—will be back on Oct. 11.
