Vincent Van Gogh wants you to spend the night. No, really. Running in tandem with “Van Gogh’s Bedrooms,” an exhibit opening Feb. 14 at the Art Institute of Chicago, there’s a rentable room on Airbnb that’s a replica of the real thing—just as Van Gogh painted it. From the straw hat hanging behind the bed to a pitcher on the nightstand, it’s all there in painstaking detail.

For just $10 a night, the Chicago rental is a steal and even includes two tickets to the exhibit. The folks at Art Institute worked with Leo Burnett to bring the dream to life in the form of an Airbnb rental, said AIC Director of Public Affairs Amanda Hicks. The rest of the apartment, which is located in a building at State Street and Grand Avenue, includes all the modern amenities you’re used to: an updated kitchen, bathroom and living space.

“But open the door to the bedroom and you’re transported to Van Gogh’s painting,” Hicks said.

The room will be available on Airbnb through May 10, the duration of the exhibit. Hicks said the Art Institute will be releasing blocks of availability in waves via Facebook and Twitter to give everyone a fair shot at the experience.

If you’re not lucky enough to a score a night in Van Gogh’s Airbnb, you can check out a digitally enhanced reconstruction of the painting at the Art Institute alongside the exhibit that brings the artist’s three “Bedroom” paintings together for the first time in North America.

But really, go big or go home. And by home, we mean this sweet-ass Van Gogh-inspired Airbnb.
