Chicago’s premiere festival destination for electronic music Spring Awakening has finally announced its 2016 lineup and location.
Slated for June 10-12, the three-day romp will now take place at Addams/Medill Park in University Village/Little Italy. Expanding to two main stages—one for DJs and another for live electronic acts—headliners for Spring Awakening include Above and Beyond, Deadmau5, Zeds Dead, Kaskade, The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki and Carnage. Other notable performers include Dillon Francis, Jamie XX, RL Grime, Flying Lotus, Nicky Romero, Crystal Castles and more. Scroll down to see a poster featuring the entire bill.
Originally, the fest was conditionally approved to move to Jackson Park in Woodlawn from its original Soldier Field home. However, because the nearby University of Chicago was scheduled to host its convocation ceremony on June 11, organizers had to scramble to find a new location.
