When I read the press release for the “Sex Sent Me to the ER” finale, all I could hear was Beavis’ voice saying “wiener.” Or was it Butt-head?
Anyway, the episode’s reenactment not only made me laugh, but also double over in imagined pain when professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter Ray Elbe breaks his wiener during a romp in bed with his girlfriend.
The “Sex Sent Me to the ER” finale, titled “Valentine’s Surprise,” airs at 9 p.m. Jan. 18 on TLC.
The four-part series that documents the real-life stories of sexcapades gone wrong wraps up its run with the episode, which recounts two other cases:
Brian and Yvette have a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner, and then slip beneath the sheets for some fun. Within minutes, Brian’s mouth and penis are feeling discomfort. He’s in such pain he decides to head to the ER. Brian is also feeling distrust, because he thinks Yvette has given him an STD.
Dr. Ed Panacek is treating a patient in a vampire costume with a big cut and bump on his head. How he was injured is unclear, but soon a woman dressed as a vampire bride arrives in handcuffs! She is incoherent, so it takes some real detective work for the staff to piece together what happened, and how to help this very unusual couple.
