No. 1: An ironic name

The rapper 50 Cent will definitely lose a lot more than two quarters after filing for bankruptcy. His name is probably the same amount of money he’ll have in his bank account when it’s all over. If he had two cents, maybe he wouldn’t have gotten himself involved in an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit. No money, mo’ problems. OK, we’ll stop.

No. 2: Prime Day fails

Who doesn’t like getting a deal on something? Amazon Prime Day was a good thought, but it failed to impress Internet shoppers. The good stuff went fast, and that left a lot of junk to be had. Lucky for you, we put together a gallery of said junk. You’re welcome.

No. 3: It comes down to courage

Caitlyn Jenner accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs. She gave a 10-minute speech urging the acceptance of all transgender people and was later given a standing ovation from some of the biggest stars in sports. You go girl!

As if the new cloud tax wasn’t enough, the Cook County Board voted to increase the sales tax in Chicago. The new rate? 10.25 percent — one of the highest in the nation.
