Gambino turned up the showmanship during his hour-long Sunday set, showering the stage with fire and pyrotechnics that put the average rap show to shame.
He took the stage during a torrential downpour, which is usually the kiss of death for festival acts. However, Gambino took the challenge head on, delivering a frenetic set packed with mixtape hits (the Adele-sampling “Do Ya Like”) and major releases (“Heartbeat,” “3005”) Colleagues marveled at his ability to spring through the duration of the set while maintaining impressive breath control and singing ability.

In what was a puzzling ending to the set, he took the stage to spit a freestyle where he claimed he’s one of the Top 5 rappers out. While some might disagree, he defintely threw down the gauntlet on Sunday.
