There’s a lot happening in Chicago at the moment. Perhaps that’s an understatement, because this week feels utterly otherworldly—and it’s only Wednesday. Amid World Series madness and early-voter predictions comes the Michelin Guide Chicago 2017, honoring the top tier of the city’s expansive dining scene.

Newcomers to the prestigious list include Roister, Smyth, GreenRiver and Band of Bohemia with one star each and Oriole with an impressive two stars after opening earlier this year. Two additional noteworthy tweaks: Tru was upgraded to two stars, and Moto was dropped from the list after shuttering in February.
