On December 31st, 2012, Chicago’s geek and nerd community welcomed the new year at Challengers Comics + Conversation. The theme of the evening was “A New Nerd Year’s Hope” and folks were encouraged to come dressed to the nines or in their fave Star Wars costumes. the event was hosted by Singer/Songwriter Jess Godwin and the Redeye’s resident geek Elliott Serrano.
