Hailing from Evanston Township High School as recent graduates is a young, scrappy and undeniably talented six-piece band called Manwolves who’ve turned heads in Chicago too for their lively blend of hip-hop, jazz, rock and pop. While their backstory begs for comparisons to Kids These Days, another band that was formed by sonically adventurous high schoolers, their new single “Trip On My Words” is much sunnier and more pop-oriented. Though it’s almost December, the breezy horns, beach-ready instrumentals and frontman James McNear’s preternaturally laid back flow will transport you back to warmer weather and summer vibes.
