The Cinemax espionage drama “Hunted” might have more twists than a pretzel, but it makes one thing perfectly clear: Patrick Malahide is one scary mofo as Jack Turner.

Malahide, who may be best known in the U.S. for his role as Balon Greyjoy in HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” plays the East-End-gangster-turned-industrialist as if he’s a ravenous shark seeking out prey. As he says in the RedEye exclusive sneak peek of this week’s episode above, he will do whatever it takes to succeed.

And when Malahide says something like that, you believe him. (If you’re smart, you’ll run, too.) His is one of the best villains on TV this year, and we get even more of him in this week’s “Hunted” airing at 9 p.m. CT Friday, Nov. 23, on Cinemax.

In “Polyhedrus,” Jack is getting ever closer to his goal of securing the rights to a Pakistani dam, but he has a new plan to make sure nothing stand in his way. The Byzantium team, which has been hired to stop Jack, is perplexed by his connection to Fatima Zahir (Meera Syal), a Pakistani presidential candidate.

As their fellow Byzantium team members race to figure things out, Sam (Melissa George) and Stephen (Stephen Campbell Moore) continue their investigation into the mysterious Hourglass. Sam connects someone from this mission with the one that led to her being shot and hiding out for a year. The revelation helps her discover who their client is.

But Sam’s discovery might just get her into even more trouble. “Polyhedrus” was written by Christian Spurrier and directed by Alrick Riley.

“Polyhedrus” is the sixth of the eight-episode first season of “Hunted” (which will be back for a season 2!). You can catch up with the series created by Frank Spotnitz by watching marathons every Wednesday and on Max On Demand and Max Go. Additional showing of “Polyhedrus” are set for 10:30 p.m. Nov. 23; 3:30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10:35 p.m. Nov. 24; 11:45 a.m. Nov. 25; 10:45 p.m. Nov. 26; 11 p.m. Nov. 27, and 7 p.m. Nov. 28.
