Meet RedEye Rock ‘n’ Vote 2015 finalist Hundred Heads.
Neighborhoods: Logan Square, Lawndale
Experience: The current incarnation of the band has been playing together for about a year. Its core members bonded over a mutual love of “Blue Album”-era Weezer and playing in the high school jazz band.
Sound: “Our go-to term is easy listening. Whatever we do, we try to make it as tasteful as possible. We’re probably somewhere along the lines of ambient indie rock, or ‘freak-rock’ or something,” says frontman Will Wisniewski, 23.
Live show: “We’re a five-piece. Our sets are usually pretty open ended. We try to play to the room and see where that takes us.”
Fun fact: Three of the group’s members work at the same Starbucks.
Big accomplishment: “[We were] on the radio one time. I forget which station. It was someone else’s choosing.”
