Deep dish pizza and Chicago go hand in hand. The Cubs and Chicago also go hand in hand, so it’s natural that the two will be combined as fans follow the team in its quest for glory.
Starting Friday, Giordano’s will sell pizzas with a large parmesan “W” on days the Cubs have playoff game.
The 14-inch pizzas are available for dine in, carryout and delivery orders. The carryout and delivery boxes also will be Cubs-themed.
Is this a ploy to give Giordano’s—the official pizza of the Cubs, mind you—the advantage in the age-old battle for Chicago’s best pizza joint? Probably, but we’re OK with it.
