Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Hand Cream in Eucalyptus Spearmint

$10 for 2.5 oz. at Bath & Body Works

Why I love it: My hands are painfully dry from October to March, and this lotion is the perfect remedy. A little goes a long way—two pea-sized dollops moisturize my hands all day. It’s thick without being greasy and absorbs quickly. Plus, the scent isn’t overwhelming (it’s like soap but slightly minty). —Jessica Thompson

CVS advanced healing ointment

$4.99 for 2 oz. at CVS

I’m all about name brands. But like, CVS advanced healing ointment saves you $2 over Aquaphor and is just as good. I mean, “Gucci Gucci, Louis Louis, Fendi Fendi, Prada/The basic bitches wear that [bleep], so I don’t even bother,” right? —Jordan Monroe Schultz

Fresh Hesperides Grapefruit Body Lotion

$22.50 for 10 oz. at Sephora

Why I love it: It makes me smell like the Queen of All Citrus, and that is my life’s sole mission. —Megan Crepeau

Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion

$8.79 for 12 oz. at Walgreens

Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer

$11.99 for 10 oz. at CVS

Why I love it: In addition to winter wreaking havoc on my skin’s moisture, it also happens to be a season in which any flush of healthy color fades away and I end up super self-conscious of my pastier-than-Elmer’s legs in every yoga class or other flesh-bearing scenario. This magic concoction helps with both issues without being orange or streaky. —Gwendolyn Purdom

Aquaphor Healing Skin Ointment

$6.29 for 1.75 oz at Walgreens

Why I love it: OK, so this isn’t exactly lotion, but I swear it can solve all of your winter problems. Put this stuff on anything, dry skin or chapped lips, and you will be healed. —Annie Cercone

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream

$13.49 for 16 oz at CVS

There’s a reason Cetaphil is sold by the giant tub. This nectar of the gods completely cured my eczema, and I slather my entire body with it on the daily—even during the summer. It keeps me itch- and flake-free and happy. —Dana Moran

Origins Make A Difference Rejuvenating Hand Treatment

$16 at origins.com and Macy’s and Sephora locations

Take it from a self-professed lotion hater: This stuff is awesome. I received this lovely robin’s-egg blue tube as a stocking stuffer this year, and it was one of my very favorite gifts. The ingredient list is very old-timey apothecary-esque—Rose of Jericho, meadowfoam seel oil, sea haricots … does anyone know what any of this means?—but what really matters is that it smelled amazing and turned my wind-ravaged lizard hands human again. —Lisa Arnett

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream

$4.79 for 2 oz. at Walgreens

The packaging is boring, it smells faintly of plastic/sterile hospital and it looks like petroleum jelly, BUT DAMN do my hands feel like Kanye’s velvet Haider Ackermann sweatsuit. You gator-skin haters with your flowery fragrances are just jealous of my hydrated hands over here. —Heather Schroering
