The official synopsis for the “Doctor Who” 50th anniversary special, called “The Day of the Doctor,” was released Monday on the Doctor Who Tumblr.

If you don’t want to see it, look away! “The Day of the Doctor” airs at 8 p.m. CT Nov. 23 on BBC America. It stars Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor; Jenna Coleman as his companion, Clara; David Tennant as the 10th Doctor, and Billie Piper as his companion, Rose. John Hurt plays someone being called the dark Doctor.

BBC America tells me there will be more details about all 50th anniversary programming soon. Here’s the synopsis:

The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th Anniversary Special: in 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.
