Daryl Dixon and Abed Nadir battle in the final of RedEye’s fourth Best TV Character Tournament.

The zombie-slaying badass of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” pierced the Centurion armor of Rory Williams from BBC America’s “Doctor Who” in the Final Four. In the comedy semis, pop culture savant Abed rallied all those fans of NBC’s “Community,” preventing Charlie Kelly from FX’s “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” from repeating as a finalist this year.

But Abed (Chicago’s own Danny Pudi) will have to bone up on his zombie (or redneck) studies, because donning a Batman suit and attitude won’t be enough to dodge the arrows from Daryl’s (Norman Reedus) crossbow, Dixon’s Vixens or the army of rednecks Reedus has been rallying on Twitter.

You can vote in the final until 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at which time I will crown RedEye’s Best TV Character of 2011.
