Apparently, it’s a G.O.A.T. eat goat world.
After the Cubs broke the fabled “Billy Goat” curse last week by finally bringing home a World Series title, Cubs President of Baseball Operations Theo Epstein took it one step further by actually consuming goat at Wrigley Field.
Epstein ordered a roasted goat Thursday from his friends at Boka Restaurant Group, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Co-owners Kevin Boehm and Rob Katz enlisted the help of chef Stephanie Izard—of Girl & The Goat—to prepare the meal.
The reported 9 1/2-pound roasted goat was consumed in the bleachers by Epstein and his executive team.
You know the saying, “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em?” Well it would seem Epstein thinks, “If you DO beat ’em, eat ’em.”
