Has the Super Bowl jumped the Left Shark? Well, that depends on your opinion of Coldplay, because the English pop-rockers have been pegged to perform the halftime show at Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7, 2016.

The band will undoubtedly be playing cuts spanning its seven albums, including its latest and probably final release “A Head Full of Dreams,” which is actually kind of fun and out tomorrow. No word on whether or not album collaborator and Super Bowl halftime show alum Beyoncé will perform as well. But according to US Weekly, 2013 performer Bruno Mars will be involved in the show as well as some unspecified “friends of the group.”

Super Bowl 50 may not feature the Chicago Bears, but it will be taking place Feb. 7, 2016 on CBS. Previous halftime show performers include Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Madonna and Beyoncé.
