Dear Chicago, the time has coming for you to proactively call in sick for work Thursday so you can devote all your time and effort to the Chicago Cubs’ season-making wild-card game against the Pittsburgh Pirates Wednesday night.

To help with this, there are a few things you can do to be the best fan you possibly can be: shell out beaucoup bucks to travel to Pennsylvania and pay even more beaucoup bucks for tickets at PNC Park or … you can follow around Clark the Cub Tuesday, get a free flag and say you got to hang out with a pantsless mascot. Win-win.

Do you have 15-30 minutes to take a break from your job where you’d otherwise be avoiding responsibilities because you’re so nervous and excited about postseason baseball? Yes, you do? Good, because Clark the Cub will be bouncing around the city Tuesday starting at 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and he might stop right by YOU.

If you want to follow him around, check out the official @Cubs accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Vine to see where he’s headed. Think of it as a scavenger hunt but on a Tuesday and for adults.

We won’t give anything away, but maybe, just maybe, the cuddly dude might make a stop near the RedEye offices sometime in the afternoon. Here’s hoping. Go Cubs!
