Ok, deep breaths. Wednesday is day the Chicago Cubs play the Pittsburgh Pirates for the coveted NL Wild Card spot in the Major League Baseball playoffs. Are you nervous and excited? Me too. I am so nervous and excited I’ve made almost 10 typos just trying to write this sentence.

I’d take a guess that the entire city feels the same way. All around town, you’ll be able to see some Chicago Cubs pride almost everywhere you go. With the #FlyTheW hashtag taking over local Twitter and the hearts of Cubs fans everywhere, here are the most loyal displays of fandom from the North Siders. Let’s get some runs Wednesday.

Our favorite pantsless bear is unsurprisingly all in.

Like deep dish? At Giordano’s, you can brand your pie with a “W.”

Outside RedEye’s humble offices, you can find the “W” flag flying high and proud above the Magnificent Mile.

Got a craving for some humongous iced coffee and doughnuts? Dunkin’ has you covered.

Even City Hall has some Cubs colors.

Not even our museums are immune to the madness.

Future Cubs have the major leaguers’ backs …

… and so do Ron, Ernie and Billy.

But one thing is certain: Wherever you are Wednesday night …

… let’s hope we can #FlyTheW and see the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS. Go Cubs!
