Last Saturday, Chicago was graced with Magnificent Coloring Day, Chance the Rapper’s daylong music festival, which broke the attendance record at U.S. Cellular Field. It was a historic performance and one that we’ll be talking about well into the future. While we’re riding the good vibes Chance brought, why not keep it up by seeing more live music?

Below, I’ve listed three of the best concerts coming to Chicago this week. From Angel Olsen to AJJ, you won’t want to miss these acts.

Tuesday and Wednesday

Angel Olsen, Rodrigo Amarante

Thalia Hall

1807 S. Allport St. 312-526-3851

Angel Olsen followed up on her mesmerizing 2014 album “Burn Your Fire For No Witness” with this month’s “My Woman,” which is surely one of the year’s best releases. With songs as good as “Intern” and “Sister,” this singer-songwriter and onetime Chicagoan is killing it this year. Plus, the show being at Thalia Hall gives you an excuse to eat at Dusek’s, the Michelin-starred restaurant connected to the venue.

Friday

Porches, Japanese Breakfast

Subterranean

2011 W. North Ave. 773-278-6600

Both of these acts have been in Chicago recently. In July, Porches was on Pitchfork Music Festival’s bill and later that weekend had an after-show at the Empty Bottle. Japanese Breakfast also played here in July when she opened up for Mitski at Lincoln Hall. Even if you were lucky enough to catch either of these acts this summer, you should definitely check them out again.

Saturday

AJJ, Diners, Kepi Ghoulie

1551 N. Damen Ave. 773-489-3160

With news of a potential move to Logan Square and their still-ongoing appeal of a judge’s order to vacate their space, Double Door’s days as a Wicker Park institution unfortunately seem numbered. That’s a shame, as the iconic club has been a welcome hub for live music since 1994. But even as its fate remains up in the air, shows are still happening. That’s why you should go to as many as possible, like the spirited folk punk of Arizona’s AJJ. The band formerly known as Andrew Jackson Jihad are so much fun live and have a new album out that’s ambitiously and hilariously titled “The Bible 2.”
