Since Chance the Rapper announced the release date of “Coloring Book” on “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” with the debut of “Blessings” in May, it makes sense that his next appearance on the show would be a performance of “Blessings (Reprise).”

While it was surprising to see him back on “Fallon” so soon, the Chicago artist did what he does best and kept the surprises coming. Fresh on a break from his Coloring World Tour, he brought his friends Ty Dolla $ign, D.R.A.M., Raury and Anthony Hamilton to act as the choir for “Blessings (Reprise).” The first half of the rendition might be his most minimalist live TV set yet, but the climactic final act with the Social Experiment and a whole choir proved that he should just have a standing gig on “Fallon” like the Roots.

Watch it below.

Chance also sat down with Fallon for a brief interview, and the amiable late-night host received a Chance 3 hat. It was cute! Like most Fallon interviews, it didn’t really go deep. A sample question was basically, “You don’t sell your music. What’s that about?” but it didn’t matter because it’s always great to see Chance the Rapper on TV.

It just goes to show how much of a phenomenal year it’s been for Chance—not to mention for his fans who have a TV. The 23-year-old Chicago rapper has been on “Saturday Night Live” with Kanye West, the aforementioned “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” gig, the ESPYs to debut a tribute to Muhammad Ali, “Good Morning America” and most recently “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” With Coloring World still giving us goosebumps over a week later and now this, will he ever stop?
