Christkindlmarket has long been a Chicago staple, bringing German and European traditions to Daley Plaza in the form of an open-air shopping frenzy. As the market prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary, we received their latest collectible boot-shaped mug.

We took a look back at booties past and rounded up our top five favorite Christkindlmarket gluhwein boot-shaped mugs for your enjoyment.

#5: 2015’s beige bootie

The latest and greatest Christkindlmarket’s gluhwein mug is white with red accents on the inside. It’s tiny enough to drink tea out of or a shot of espresso. It’s the perfect color combination, with enough stars on the handle to recreate the Chicago flag.

#4: 2009’s green bootie

You can’t go wrong with a little green bootie! 2009 was the year of the green bootie, which had an amazing shape to satisfy any thirsty caroler that may come to your door.

#3: 2010’s red bootie

We’ve all had a red bootie, especially if we’ve been a bit naughty. 2010 gave us a very colorful design with a red and rosy backdrop.

#2: 2011’s blue bootie

If you’ve ever experienced the blues, this blue bootie will cheer you up! This particular mug has a slight pointy tip, adding just a bit more wiggle room for what you put in your bootie.

#1: 2012’s white bootie

2012 was the year of the white bootie. This particular mug was quite amazing in stature, showcasing a more flat-toed base. One of my favorite types of booties I’d drink out of every holiday!
