Benjamin Bratt will star in “24: Live Another Day,” debuting May 5 on Fox.

Kiefer Sutherland reprises his role as super spy Jack Bauer in the 12-episode event series. The original show ended in May 2010 after eight seasons.

Bratt will portray Steve Harris, the head of the CIA operation tracking Bauer in London. Bauer is now a fugitive and exile. CIA agent Kate Morgan (Yvonne Strahovski), computer tech Jordan Reed (Giles Matthey) and field operative Erick Ritter (Gbenga Akinnagbe) work for Harris.

Other former “24” stars are returning to their roles along with Sutherland. Mary Lynn Rajskub will reprise her role as Chloe O’Brian, the tech whiz who used to work with Bauer but is now a radical in the free information movement. As the new series begins, she’s pitted against Bauer.

Michael Wincott will play an infamous hacker called Adrian who presumably will be working with Chloe. Judy Davis reportedly will play the British widow of a notorious terrorist.

Former cast member Kim Raver returns as Audrey Raines and William Devane as James Heller.

Fox will air the two-hour premiere of “24: Live Another Day” at 7 p.m. May 5 before moving it into its regular time period at 8 p.m. May 12.
