With “Zoolander 2” opening Feb. 12, this is probably the time when you go back and re-watch the original movie from 2001, which falls into the category of movies that whether or not you liked it the first time, almost certainly has grown on you with time and repeat viewings.
But looking again at “Zoolander” for perhaps the first time in a while, you may have the same reaction I did: “Wait, is that who I think it is?” Yep, that’s Alexander Skarsgard in a small role as a model, years before “True Blood” made him a household name.
Obviously since he died in a terrible gas station accident, Skarsgard probably won’t be back for the sequel. But he’s probably not too upset, considering that starring role in “Tarzan” later this year.
Anyway, it’s always odd when stuff like that happens–people you know well now but had no idea who they were when you originally saw them. That happened to me again recently–did you know Josh Radnor of “How I Met Your Mother” was in “Not Another Teen Movie”?
