RedEye’s Eat & Drink section reviews aim to provide an early look and first impression of a recently opened bar or restaurant. RedEye reporters visit restaurants and bars unannounced and meals are paid for by RedEye. Rather than a traditional star-based rating system, we use our own ratings scale (yup, those are exclamation points) to gauge our first impression.
