– Jamie Auffenberg, of the Auffenberg Auto Mall in O’Fallon, Ill., has been elected to the board of directors of the American Import Automobile Dealers association, representing Mazda dealers.
– Fred Adcock, U.S. sales chief for Subaru, has resigned to join Nissan. Adcock had held the job at Subaru since June 2000. He starts as vice president of Nissan’s mid-Atlantic region sales June 1. Subaru has not named a successor.
– Ford President and Chief Operating Officer Jim Padilla will remain as a consultant for the automaker after he retires in July. Ford says it entered into the agreement to smooth the transition as Chairman Bill Ford assumes Padilla’s duties, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
