Family of Whitney Houston reportedly told singer died from combination of drugs

The 48-year-old singer was found unresponsive in the bathroom of a Beverly Hills’ hotel suite. Officials said drowning is a possible cause of death that is being investigated. However, according to TMZ, family sources said the coroner said there was not enough water in Houston’s lungs to conclude she drowned.
TMZ reported that family member said Houston was taking Xanax, which is often used to treat anxiety. When combined with alcohol, Xanax can cause drowsiness.
Funeral arrangements for Houston have not yet been released.
