I joined the Fox 59 crew in August of 2010, and I’m loving getting to explore the city with my family. I’ve lived in several states in my career including Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Arkansas Tech University. Before moving to Indianapolis, I called New Orleans, LA home and worked at WDSU.
While it took several years of school and many lucky breaks to get to where I am now, some would say they never had any doubts what I was going to grow up to be. Next door to my house growing up lived a national weather service employee. On the other side of my house a former television anchor lived there. I guess I just kind of put the two together. During career days I would always invite Mr. Mike (A National Weather Service Employee) to show and tell at my school. While I feel a little guilty about it now, I couldn’t get enough of the snazzy maps and cool tools Mr. Mike would always pull out. I am glad I decided to make a career out of it.
In my free time you are likely to see me running and working out at the Y, or hitting golf balls at the local driving range. I also enjoy flying kites when the weather conditions are right. I love spending time with my family and generally if there is a kid’s event around town, there’s a good chance I will be there.
