An award-winning journalist, Michael Henrich came to Indianapolis from the NBC station in Toledo, Ohio, where he spent time as the morning anchor.
Earlier, he was the weekend anchor/reporter at KOKH Fox 25 in Oklahoma City, where his work ranged from storm chasing and speaking with tornado survivors as they emerged from the rubble, to breaking open alleged cover-ups of ignored child abuse tips.
Michael has been nominated for an Emmy Award and is grateful to have received several honors from the Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists, and Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters.
Before going to Oklahoma, Michael reported at WFFF in Vermont, produced at News 12 Interactive in New York and assisted the assignment desk at ABC News in Washington, D.C.
He graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in political science and German language and literature. While studying abroad in Berlin, Germany, Michael met his wife, Renee. His family jokes that he traveled halfway across the globe in order to meet a girl from Wisconsin. They now live happily in Zionsville with their two sons.
