Jim Irsay pledges to match donations to American Red Cross

Online donations will be accepted through Nov. 9.

Colts owner and CEO Jim Irsay announced Friday that he will match donations for Superstorm Sandy relief efforts.

Irsay will match online donations up to $1 per fan in attendance at Sunday’s game versus the Miami Dolphins. Individuals wishing to have their contributions to the Red Cross matched through Irsay’s contribution should visit the Colts website or their American Red Cross Page to donate online.

Sunday’s game against the Dolphins is sold out. As a result, the matching donation is expected to exceed $65,000.

Online donations will be accepted through Nov. 9.

Earlier this week, the National Football League and its 32 teams pledged to donate $1 million to American Red Cross.
