CHICAGO—Next year's shutdown and renovation of part of the CTA's Red Line will create 400 openings for temporary bus drivers.
On Monday, the CTA is hosting a job fair at Chicago State University to pre-screen people who want those jobs; it runs until 1 p.m..
You'll have to have "A really strong attitude and (be) excited about work," said Brian Steele, a spokesperson for the CTA.
The CTA is especially looking for people who live in the south side neighborhoods who will be affected by the Red Line closures.
Once the South end of the Red Line is shut down, shuttle buses will run between the Cermak-Chinatown station and the 95th St. station until the construction work is finished.
