Cubs officials are less than thrilled by the way the Internet has treated their new mascot.
After the team revealed its first mascot of the modern era -- Clark the Cub -- Monday, it didn't take long for things to get inappropriate. Deadspin was quick to rally its readers, asking them Monday to "Do something horrible to the Cubs' new, perverted mascot."
The sports blog chipped in a photo of its own, giving Clark a completely NSFW treatment. (Be wary of the link, there's plenty of photoshopped inappropriateness ahead.) Quickly, readers filled the comments section with sex, drugs and boozed-out versions of the bear.
"I'm disappointed at some of the unfortunate images that went from negative to despicable,"Julian Green, vice president of communications and community affairs for the Cubs, told ESPN Tuesday.
