Derrick Rose looking to add space to Trump Tower digs

MVP and Bulls superstar Derrick Rose wants to add space to his already-luxurious new Trump Tower digs with the purchase of a next-door neighbor's condo, according to the real estate agent who helped Rose find his pad. See photos of a condo with the exact same floor plan here.

Three other owners in the building, which Blackhawks star Patrick Kane also calls home, had the same idea, Phil Skowron said.

"It's become very popular," said Skowron, a real estate agent who specializes in the luxury high-rise market. "It makes for a fantastic floor plan."

Rose will add 1,017 square feet to his current 3,102 square-foot, three-bedroom condo in the Loop on Wabash Avenue. The key selling points for the $2.8 million condo on the 84th floor of the building are the panoramic views and perfect location, Skowron said.

"They're some of the best views in the city," he said. "You can actually look down at the fireworks from Derrick Rose's condo. You crack your window open and you can hear everything from Lollapalooza."

Skowron said negotiations to buy the neighboring condo are under way but "not 100 percent finalized." He said Rose has already started living in the condo, which is on the second-highest floor below the penthouses on the 92-story building.

"He bought the highest floor that was available," Skowron said.

Pictures available show a condo that Skowron said has the exact same floor plan as the one Rose bought, but is a floor or two below.
